Description and OperationThis liquid flat plate collector is designed to absorb solar radiation. The solar radiation is converted into heat on the inner all-copper absorber. The copper tubes attached to the absorber contain a liquid, either water or a water antifreeze mix, which transports the heat to storage, either a solar tank or a water heater. This process continues until the tank is hot for evening and morning use whenever enough sun is available. The Gobi collector features an attractive and permanent frame that is designed for good looks as well as weather resistance in both very hot and cold regions. Because of its special absorber coating, the Gobi operates efficiently also in the winter for year-round hot water production.Heliodyne Helio-Pak Closed Loop Solar Hot Water System
Solar Hot Water Systems Long-Term Benefits Solar water heaters offer long-term benefits that go beyond simple economics. In addition to having free hot water after the system has paid for itself in reduced utility bills, you and your family will be cushioned from future fuel shortages and price increases. You will also be doing your part to reduce this country's dependence on foreign oil. The National Remodelers Association reports that adding a solar water heater to an existing home raises the resale value of the home by the entire cost of the system. Environmental Benefits Solar water heaters do not pollute. By investing in one, you will be avoiding carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide, and the other air pollution and wastes created when your utility generates power or you burn fuel to heat your household water. When a solar water heater replaces an electric water heater, the energy displaced over 20 years represents more than 50 tons of avoided carbon dioxide emissions alone. Carbon dioxide traps heat in the upper atmosphere, thus contributing to the "greenhouse effect." A Bright Future
A solar water
heater is a long-term investment that will save you money and energy for many
years. Like other renewable energy systems, solar water heaters minimize the
environmental effects of enjoying a comfortable, modern lifestyle. In addition,
they provide insurance against energy price increases, help reduce our
dependence on foreign oil, and are investments in everyone's future. Solar-Tec Systems 33971-A Silver Lantern, Dana Point, California 92629 California Solar Electric System Contractor C-46 # 752181
